Alana Frogley, one of our wonderful Special Education Aides at Brooksbank, came to lead us through yoga this afternoon. Yoga means to unite your mind, body, and spirit through your breath. Interestingly, Alana noticed some people were uncomfortable with the quiet required in yoga; they wanted to fill the space with talk or sounds because some folks aren't used to being calm. Some kids said the quiet makes them feel nervous. Others need it more often than not. Pausing for quiet moments is so important for brain development. Let's all take calm breaks to reset our personal peace.
