Morning walk

Matthew took us on a walk through the beautiful forest. 



We learned so much from him. For instance, the amount of bark pulled from a cedar tree depends on the tree’s circumference. If  the tree is smaller, you only take one hand width of bark; larger girth means you can take two hand widths. This is part of measurement in Math — indigenous peoples used their hand widths as referents
