Kurt has astounded us with his mathematical abilities

Kurt has mastered both the addition and subtraction tables in less than 3 seconds for each question by diligently practicing his xtra-math so consistently thus year! We crowd surfed him as our congratulatory response! YAY KURT!

ZUMBA!

Today was our last Zumba class with Ms Benson.  Her Zumba music really makes you want to move.  She is an inspiration, because she's had a DOUBLE lung transplant and manages to teach Zumba, which is a serious workout.  We really enjoyed having her, and we're all better dancers for it, too!

Carys practiced at home and was a model teacher when she shared The Bully with the class. She asked for predictions, stopped at key places to deepen understanding and asked thought provoking questions.

Margaret Benson, ex Brooksbank teacher who has had a double lung transplant loves to keep fit and teach kids...   so now she teaches Zumba.. below are all the grade 3s enjoying their first class.. 

 

 

Garden visits have started up again.

Thanu, our new garden teacher and Figgy Fiona showed us the new greenhouse, the beds put away for winter, the sprouting garlic and even some radishes that almost looked edible!
