Today at the farm

We met Farmer Holly, a new face at the farm. Volunteers Denise and Rosie helped us plant peas and calendula.  Teacher Jason taught us how to play Worm Bin Bingo. So great. Have you seen the farm they're building at Sutherland Secondary?

Chickens galore

Imagine my delight hearing that many of you saw chickens during spring break. I did too.  We counted 147 chicks over ten days. 🐓😍

Flat Stanley Alert!

Flat Stanley was visiting Waimea Canyon on Kauai during spring break. He went to Hawaii all the way from Kansas!  Where can you find Kauai and Kansas on maps of North America?

Ben's Art

Congratulations to Ben on his painting at the Education Services Centre.

Mya's science experiment!

Mya presented her experiment today, and she kept us on the edge of our seats! Both Julia and mrs. Schnetzler tested it out. We were amazed to see how a cylindrical piece of cardboard could hold their own body weight. Mrs. Schnetzler even did a yoga pose on the cardboard cylinder, while balancing on a table!
