Noah's 'Scatter' experiment

With great poise and confidence, Noah presented his experiment to show how soap effects surface tension. Ask your child to tell you about what happened to the pepper.

Pepper floating

Everyone was listening intently

The explanation!

Out to the garden again....

We were so lucky it wasn't raining for our first visit of the year to the garden.

We were putting more mulch on the beds

It was muggy stinky and warm in the greenhouse and the little green shoots were popping their heads up

These cabbage didn't make it through that frost

Our garlic that we planted in October is 14 cm high!

Fun in the Sun

Ahhh, vitamin D.

Valentine's Sewing Project

Dino and Tan were so kind to come in with all the supplies to sew Valentine's hearts. We learned how to do a blanket stitch and helped each other decorate the hearts. Our hearts even had our names stitched on them ahead of time. I'm sure that took Tan hours and hours!

THANK YOU to Dino, Tan, Terrie, Laura, Sandra and Lucy! We couldn't have done it without you!

And thanks to Lucy for being the Court Photographer AND seamstress!

Shakespeare in 30 minutes

Mike, a veteran actor with lots of Shakespeare experience, led us through A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ask your child what they liked about it and watch the youtube video ( Full movie animation in 3D ) It's 19 minutes long.

Architectural Art

Have your child show you their part of the mural

African Dance Lessons

Wow, we learned the most beautiful African dance. All the actions were about growing and sharing food. We picked the rocks off the field, hoed, cultivated, seeded, watered, harvested and shared our crop. Get your child to show you the different steps for the various parts.
