Claire's surface tension experiment

Ask your child if they know what surface tension is. Claire presented her floating cap experiment so well today.She was well prepared, well rehearsed and organized. Claire had a great command of the audience and kept us interested and engaged!




Jump Rope for Heart


Today, we learned how exercise, drinking lots of water, eating nutritious food and getting  enough rest helps our hearts stay healthy. Your child came home with a booklet and a Jump Rope for Heart pledge form to be returned to school on Feb. 13. Good luck collecting pledges. 






Leadership Final Challenge


Grade 7 students researched famous leaders, wrote riddles about them , dressed in costume and all the grade three to sixes had to guess who the famous leaders were.









Iodine and Starch by Tosh

We were delighted when Tosh shared his experiment with us. He tested different foods with iodine to see if any starch was present. There were a few surprises. Hamburger meat showed starch an a noodle didn't.... Tosh spoke clearly and was well practiced and organized. Way to go!

Using a lighter and lighting candles in school was good fun for Matteo!he presented his experiment with clarity and was obviously well practiced and well prepared!




Arianna's Experiment! Hot and Cold Hands

Arianna showed us how our hands feel hot and cold differently depending on what they last felt. Her experiment was a great success as she spoke clearly and explained the results well! Thanks to Charlotte for being the guinea pig.
